Yvan De Wiel, a private banker from Geneva, is going to an Argentina in the midst of a dictatorship to replace his partner, the object of the most worrying rumours, who disappeared overnight. Between hushed lounges, swimming pools and gardens under surveillance, a remote duel between two bankers who, despite different methods, are the accomplices of a discreet and merciless form of colonization.

    A LA REALISATION

    Andreas Fontana, né en Suisse en 1982. Après une licence à Genève, il s’installe à Buenos Aires où il poursuit une formation d’assistant réalisation.
    Son court-métrage COTONOV VANISHED (2009) a reçu le prix First Steps au festival Visions du Réel à Nyon 2010 et le prix du meilleur court-métrage au Festival dei Popoli, Florence 2010. Son dernier film, PEDRO M, 1981, a été nominé au Prix du Cinéma Suisse 2016 dans la catégorie « Meilleur court-métrage ».
    En janvier 2016, Andreas Fontana et Zahra Vargas ont reçu le Prix Upcoming Lab de Soleure pour le développement d’un projet de long-métrage documentaire, NOTHINGWOOD.

    Il travaille également comme assistant ainsi que comme co-scénariste pour Zahra Vargas (La Fin d’Homère, 2015, présenté à Berlin et Clermont-Ferrand) ou Maryam Goormaghtigh (Vol au Panthéon, 2011).

    En 2021, il présente son premier long métrage, AZOR, à La Berlinale.

    Andreas Fontana, born in Switzerland in 1982. After a degree in Geneva, he moved to Buenos Aires where he trained as an assistant director.
    His first short film COTONOV VANISHED (2009) won the First Steps prize at Vision du Réel in Nyon in 2010. It also won the the prize of the best short film at the Festival dei Popoli in Florence in 2010. His last movie, PEDRO M, 1981, has been nominated for the Swiss Film Award 2016 in the short films cathegory.
    In January 2016, Andreas Fontana and Zahra Vargas received the Upcoming Lab Prize from Solothurn for the development of a feature-length documentary project, NOTHINGWOOD.

    He also works as assistant as well as co-screenwriter for Zahra Vargas (The End of Homer, 2015, presented in Berlin and Clermont-Ferrand) and Maryam Goormaghtigh (Flight to the Pantheon, 2011).

    In 2021, he presented his first feature film, AZOR, at the Berlinale.
