Between Paris and Alicante,: a poetic portrait of Spain’s political past and present. “Christmas Eve. France. My grand-mother, Paulette, puts down the Three Magi on a shelf. Memory is coming back: Paulette in Spain whilde Franco was leading the country, the Civil Guard on the beach in a summer night. I nevel talk with her about these things. I decide to come back to Spain, just before Epiphany. There, I remember my childhood. There, I’m on Civil War tracks that ended in Alicante, leaving the country with 40 years of dictatorship.
